Vladimir Alexandrovich Mironov was born in 1954. He graduated from the Ivanovo State Medical Institute in 1977. Received a degree from a candidate of medical sciences in 1980. He worked in Germany, USA and Brazil. Currently he is Chief Scientific Officer of the company 3D Bioprinting Solutions and the leading researcher at the Institute of Regenerative Medicine at Sechenovsky Moscow Medical University. The company for the first time in the world printed a functional and vascularized organ - the mouse thyroid gland in 2015. In 2018, the company for the first time in the world carried out a magnetic levitation assembly of human cartilage in space on the Russian segment of the International Space Station. Mironov, one of the pioneers of bioprinting technology, and in 2018 was awarded the prestigious award of the International Biofabrication Society for his pioneering work on bioprinting.
